A hold can be placed on your account for a number of reasons. When a hold is placed on your account you can still browse and navigate the Postmates apps and website, however you will not be able to place a new order until you have resolved the issue(s). Issues include:
- Failed charge - Your payment method was declined when Postmates attempted to charge for your delivery or tip amount.
- Disputed payment - A purchase made using your Postmates account was disputed as fraudulent with the payment provider.
- Unusual account activity - Our system detected an unusual order made using your Postmates account.
When a hold is placed, you will receive an email indicating the reason for the hold and instructions on how to resolve. If you still need help, please let us know.
